Ferris family extend a big thanks to Telstra Child Flight
Bakers Delight Chatswood Chase have shown their support for Telstra
Child Flight, the only emergency helicopter transport service in
the Southern Hemisphere dedicated solely to the retrieval of critically
ill and injured children donating a percentage of the profits made
from the sale of a promotional 'sub roll' throughout the month
of November.
After watching the Australian Idol 'Doin it for the Kids' charity
special, store owner Dhruma Patel wanted to get involved and do something
for the organisation dedicated to saving the lives of our kids.
'' When I saw the special on TV I saw an opportunity to get involved
and have Baker's Delight do their bit and support such a great cause.''
Spokesperson for Telstra Child Flight, Louise Duff wished to thank
Dhruma and her team at Baker's Delight Chatswood Chase for the wonderful
efforts and generous contribution to the organisation.
'' It is fantastic to see small business showing their support of
our organisation.''
'' Each mission that we undertake costs between $6,000 and $15,000',
each year we rely heavily on the kindness of the community to assist
us in making up millions of dollars in shortfalls each year.''
'' Without the support of the public, particularly organisations
and businesses like Dhruma's, the Telstra Child Flight chopper
would be unable to stay in the air and continue with its vital
lifesaving work.''
Bakers Delight Chatswood is located at shop 11 on
the lower ground level of the Chatswood Chase shopping centre, next
to Coles. Call the store on 02 9411 1366.
